About

Hi!   I 'm Markella

and I'm very lucky to have one of the greatest jobs in the world, in one of the most beautiful countries. I' ve been working as a licenced tour guide since 2010, specialising in day trips in Athens and the surrounding area, the islands of Mykonos and Santorini, as well as longer tours to sights in continental Greece. Destinations include Delphi, Olympia, Meteora and many other magnificent places.

As a graduate of the School of Tourist Guides operated by the Organisation of Tourism Education and Training of Guides in Greece and a member of World Federation of Tourist Guide Association, I am certified to conduct tours of the highest professional level. I am fluent English and French speaker and enjoy leading individuals and groups in both languages.

It was always  my dream to be  a tour guide  and over the years I have discovered how  many opportunities there are to enrich the experiences of visitors to my country combining history, archeology, sights, and cuisine. You may know that Greece is home to a delectable variety of food products and range of wines, such an important part of our guests experiences. I am proud   to say that   in 2016, I achieved Level 2 Sommelierthrough courses at Wine Spirits Professional Center from W.S.E.T London and i recommend not missing   the winneries of Santorini, The Peloponnese and Macedonia.
