Every year, as a celebration of New Year, the Greeks cut a cake, which they call Vasilopita (Basil's cake). There is a token inside and the one who finds it, has got good luck for the whole year.
The Association of Licensed Tourist Guides, Athens-Greece did traditionally the same thing on 29th of January 2024. We had the chance to see dear colleagues, meet new ones, exchange hugs, comments, jokes. It was a warm meeting besides the low temperatures outside.
It doesn't matter how cold it's outside. When you want to meet friends, colleagues and honour a tradition that takes place every year, no matter how cold it is, you put it behind and enjoy the event.
We would like to thank once again the Hard Rock Café Hard Rock Cafe Athens for its hospitality! Every year it welcomes us with great pleasure for every idea or event we organise!
At this point we would like to congratulate as well two of our colleagues, Artemis Skoubourdi, for her election in the Municipality of Athens and Kapo Panouz for her election in the ExBo of WFTGA (World Federation of Tourist Guides Association)!
We wish you a good beginning in this new aspect of your career!
We wish everyone a good year with health, excitement, passion, smile, collegiality and good heart! With these tools we can overcome all the obstacles and the problems.
